Proverbs 18:14  The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

Cass County Wounded Spirits is a ministry of Heartland Baptist Fellowship in Cass County Missouri, just south of Kansas City. We offer Biblical help for people suffering with the effects of PTSD and trauma.  We hope to help them heal and gain victory over their PTSD and trauma. We offer several ministries geared towards these goals.

The next PTSD workshop will be on January 15, 2022

Our speaker is retired Command Sargent Major Doug Carragher who served in the US Army for over 20 years. Dr. Carragher is the leader of the national Wounded Spirits Ministry who helps people of all walks of life who have experienced PTSD due to a dramatic experience in their life.

  • Breakfast is served to all who have registered at 0800hrs
  • The workshop is from 0900 till 1200

Cass County Wounded Spirits offers classes on addressing the devastating effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on the service member or first responder and their families. This would include anyone who has experienced a traumatic situation and struggles with coping afterwards.

Many times the emotional toll from a traumatic event can affect our lives for a lifetime but there is help available. God desires to heal the broken hearted and even Jesus declared:

Lukd 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

The PTSD course is a ten week course to help participants discover a successful Biblical approach to dealing with the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The course will cover a wide range of issues that effect people suffering from PTSD including Suicide, Fear, Anxiety, Guilt, Survivor’s Guilt, Anger, Irritability, Nightmares, Flashbacks, Avoiding Conflicts, Apathy, Moral Injury, and Pornography.
